WCA Europe Qualifiers: Vega Squadron Defeated By Alliance 2-0 23.09.2015 Author // theDabca

RUVega Squadron, EUMonkey Business, RUTeam Empire, and UANa’Vi drop out of the WCA European Qualifiers, every series ending 0-2. RUVirtus.pro, SENinjas in Pyjamas, SEAlliance, and EUSecret move into the Semi-Finals and one step closer to the LAN Finals taking place in China this coming December!

With the American and Chinese Qualifiers already over and done, contention for the last qualifier spot in began yesterday. USSummer’s Rift, CNLGD, CNCDEC, and CNInvictus Gaming can sit back, relax, and watch the Europeans battle it out over the next week. The next matches commence tomorrow, September 23, at 17:00 CEST beginning with RUVP vs SENIP followed by EUSecret vs SEAlliance at 19:30 CEST.

As for a recap of today, it was incredibly strange to see each series ended in two games. It was even more extraordinary for EUMB lose in two games considering how well they have performed over the past few weeks. It just goes to show that RUVP is a happy team and has taken the experience of playing under the lights at KeyArena and made themselves stronger.

Both RUEmpire and UANa’Vi have been struggling as of late, although it cannot be underestimated the power of the new EUSecret roster and the experience of SENIP. SEAlliance finally hit their groove, it just happened to be against RUVega….

Overall, I would have to say I am still in love with this Meta and patch. I love watching Anti-Mage, I love seeing fifth pick Broodmother and Huskar, and I love that teams have figured out how to deal with the Rainbow Pony of Death. The disparity of skill between teams is shrinking day-by-day and I cannot wait for the balance patch coming from Icefrog sometime next week!

Make sure to watch the rest of the WCA European Qualifiers over the next few days on the WCA Europe Twitch stream, and remember to keep an eye on the rest of RUVega Squadron’s season beginning with the Nanyang Qualifiers on September 24 and followed quickly by the LAN Finals of ESL One NY 2015 at Madison Square Garden October 3-4!
