Vega Squadron parts ways with Fn 23.12.2016 Author // Ace

Vega Squadron is sad to announce that our Dota 2 roster has undergone some changes. Rostislav “fn” Lozovoy leaves the team.

Rostislav joined us in March and earned himself a reputation as one of the best carries in his region. Together with fn Vega took 2nd place on WePlay League and 3rd on ESL One Frankfurt. Organization is thankful to Rostislav for his performance on our side and wishes him best of luck in his future career.

Captain of Vega Squadron Dota 2 team Semion “CeMaTheSlayeR” Krivulia comment:

- When Rostislav just joined the team we already had a stable roster of 4 people that he tried to adjust to, he was listening to feedback and worked on himself trying to fix mistakes. After the new roster was created, we almost didn't manage to make a team since there were many confrontations inside. The games that we won were taken mostly by personal skill of several players including Rostislav himself. But now Dota 2 is a team game and 4+1 doesn't work anymore. Winning with such a strategy in mind won't be possible in 2017.

In the new roster we have calm and collected players that really know how to work together and how macro gameplay works. There are no conflicts inside the team, but in-game issues are still a thing. Fn is a very strong player, but he mostly works for his own farm instead of playing with the team and might sometimes make decisions that are not really going together with what his team decided to do. However, he still tried his best to become a team players, but this wasn't going quick. For more than a month of hard work we almost made no progress at all, and it wasn't just about bad results on WCA but mostly about much precious time being lost when we were trying to fix communication and team play instead of working on new strategies and other important aspects.

We were discussing this problem and Rostislav himself proposed that it might be the time for him leave and let the team improve faster. We were thinking about it for a couple days and decided that this is, unfortunately, the most optimal choice right now. Roster lock is soon and Major qualifiers are on their way as well, so we need to make a stable team that can play 5 men Dota.

Speaking from my heart, I'd like to with Rostislav best of luck in his next team. I'm sure that such a strong player should and will achieve great success on pro-scene.

Vega Squadron's CEO Alexey Kondakov comment:

 - First of all, I'd like to thank Rostislav for the level of skill he showed us in our games in Vega Squadron and wish him best of luck with his professional player career. Second of all, I'd like to mention that we're already trying a new carry for our team and are hoping that we will soon be able to arrange a new roster with every player aiming for teamwork. I'm sure that if we'll succed, we'll be able to get rid of all these team changes and will finally get into the fight for top places in the most prestigious tournaments.
