Vega Squadron LoL roster will take part in IEM Challenger 22.10.2016 Author // Ace

Even though LCL ended in August and Vega Squadron took 2nd place in it, "sharks" still have games this year. Vega will take part in IEM Challenger that is one of the steps of prestigious IEM Katowice qualifiers, also known as non-official World Championships.

Tournament will be held in Paris Games Week from 28th to 31st of October. 8 teams are participating and 4 of them will be invited to the second stage of the IEM Katowice qualifiers. Teams will be divided in 2 groups. Vega's quartet matches are playing on 30th and 31st of October.

Our opponents in groups are Garena Premier League champion, Saigon Jokers (Vietnam), winners of the Turkish League, Dark Passage and the champions of Japan, Rampage. All these teams have already taken part in IWCQ. Vietnamese and Japanese players were not able to reach top-4 while Turkish team lost to INTZ with a 3:2 score in a match for world championships invite. Groupstage format is Double Elimination with bo3 matches. 2 best teams are going to the second stage qualifiers in Korea where they'll face Counter Logic Gaming, G2 Esports, IMay, ROX Tigers, J Team and a KeSPA Cup winner.

Soon we'll announce our new AD Carry. As a reminder, Ritix had to leave the team and XDSmiley decided to focus more on his studies and will not play with us in Paris.
