On Tuesday, February 28 Vega Squadron Dota 2 roster will gather in teamhouse for bootcamping before The Kiev Major qualifiers. The qualifier will be played on bootcamp as well.
As a reminder, new Vega Squadron roster gathere for bootcamp in the beginning of Jenuary and won Royal Arena Season. Now the team is taking part in WellPlay Invitational and already reached upper bracket finals without losing a single map against Horde and Empire.
The idea of such bootcamp was commented by our sports director, Georgy "drAmer" Faleev:
- The primary aim is to let our team reach peak of their form. In professional sports such bootcamps last for 2-3 weeks and in my opinion in Dota 2 10 days are more than enough in order to improve team's performance and don't lose will to play further.
Inbefore DAC qualifiers we decided not to gather together as the team has just been arranged and this bootcamp would not probably be of value. Instead, it would have only increased the mental and physical pressure on players. This wouldn't be healthy and productive. Now our main idea is Major and the team is ready for bootcamp.
