So, it's time to take a review of the year and 11th Starladder group play season that just ended. The season was long. It brought little sensation, disappointment and colourful emotions.
As many of you noticed, lately we had some troubles with our Dota 2 lineup. Troubles that affected our gameplay and league performance in pretty big way. Bad games showed, followed by bad results made us think that we need to change something fast if we wanna improve. By mutual agreement today we are parting ways with one of our players: Drugov "Stalianer" Iliya.
Amazing play continues for our Dota2 squad! 2nd season of popular russian GG League featuring 1500$ prize pool in total, went to our newly signed squad, as they took 1st place by clean sweeping all the opponents without loosing the single map. Once again guys showed us that they are in the amazing shape and aiming for the top of the CIS and EU scene.
We are giving more and more space to MOBA titles, such as Dota 2, which is insanely popular in Russia and CIS countries. Sadly, we decided to part ways with our old Dota 2 squad, who had amazing run in russian tournaments such as CIS Go4Dota2, Dota2.net Cup and GSL QIWI series. Their new team is Team Synergy and from today they will be representing them in StarLadder and Synergy League. Good luck guys and thank you for everything!
After few months being with us, our Heroes of the Storm squad needed to pass some changes in order to maintain high level standard and solid play in European team matches. We are saying goodbye to Green, EvilBastro and StylerBess. Thank you guys for providing us with great games, amazing results like it was 2-1 win vs mouz few weeks ago and thank you guys for experienced that we got managing HotS squad. Good luck in future.
After 3rd place in russian GSL QIWI tournament, Dota2.Net Cup finals came right away, featuring 16 semi-professional CIS teams fighting for the 15.000 rubles or about 325$ winners prize! Tournament where we proved that we are one of the best "semi-professional" up and coming teams, ready to enter on the big stage of CIS scene.
GSL QIWI Cup is big online russian Dota 2 tournament organized by GameShowLeague.tv and sponsored by QIWI, biggest russian provider of payment services (russian PayPal). First major russian tournament where we participated.
After announcing our professional russian Dota 2 team, we are adding one more team that will represent us in Dota 2 title, an academy team. Made of talented and promising russian players, surely we expect many things from them in future, aswell good games in StarLadder Amateur division. Team is young, only 2 months old, already showing good performance in StarLadder. They will play under Vega Squadron Kaliningrad name - Vega.KLD.
After Heroes of the Storm squad, Blizzards big up and coming MOBA title still in alpha phase, we are heading in same direction, same genre, and we are announcing professional Dota 2 squad, that will surely be one of the strongest squads in Vega, together with SC2 squad.
It’s been almost 2 months since we last added a new team to our organisation, and the time has come to release the storm! With the addition of one of the best up and coming Heroes of the Storm teams in Europe we are heading into uncharted territory that we feel has a very promising future.
